Free, Contactless Shredding & Electronics Recycling Event
Have documents you’d like to dispose of safely? Or small electronics that you no longer use? Join Liberty Bank for this year’s drive-through, contactless document shredding and small electronics recycling event on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Norwood branch at 6210 N. Milwaukee Ave., Chicago (enter on Huntington Ave.). To help ensure everyone’s safety and reduce lines, reservations are required. Please call 773-489-3279 to reserve your spot.
To comply with safety protocols, all attendees will be asked to load their items for shredding or recycling into their trunks and remove all other items to avoid confusion. Materials should be placed in paper bags (not plastic) or boxes/containers that will be returned to the owner. Masked and gloved Liberty Bank employees will remove all items from your trunk while you remain in your car.
Family, friends and neighbors may bring up to 25 pounds of sensitive documents to be shredded and disposed of properly at the event. Proper shredding is a way to fight fraud and combat identity theft. It is estimated that identity theft costs the nation a total of more than $45 billion dollars. Approximately 10,000 identity theft victims are Illinois residents.
